Missileworks RRC3

The Rocket Recovery Controller 3 (RRC3) is a barometric dual-deploy altimeter, with the features of high-end units, at the cost of those with a more modest feature set. In addition to basic dual-deploy capability, the RRC3 is a multi-flight recording unit, allowing you to fly all day, without the need to stop and download data in between flights. The RRC3 also provides a third, highly flexible and programmable 'Auxiliary' output which can provide staging, airstarts, backup events, and a host of other applications. The RRC3 can also support real-time data streaming capabilities in flight for telemetry or for interface with other custom control systems. Despite this unrivaled suite of intrinsic capabilities and expandability, the RRC3 still maintains its simple "buy it and fly it" operations.

LCD Terminal

The LCDT (LCD Terminal) provides a handy way to interact with the RRC3 altimeter and future Missile Works products on the launch field. The LCDT eliminates the need to bring a laptop PC and provides immediate text and icon based displays that be used to configure, review flight data and perform diagnostics. The LCDT operates using the battery supply from the host device it's connected to.

The USB IO Dongle provides USB interface capability and data transfer between the RRC3 and a host computer. Use the USB IO with the mDACS Windows based application software to upload flight data, altimeter settings, and to perform flight simulations and detailed diagnositcs. The USB IO can also provide the necessary logic power to your RRC3 altimeter for all data transfer operations, circumventing the need for an external battery or power supply to communicate with the altimeter.

This versatile, easy to use altimeter audibly reports your rocket's peak altitude and maximum velocity after flight via a sequence of beeps. Two outputs are provided for deploying a small chute at apogee to minimize drift and a larger chute closer to the ground to slow your rocket for a gentle touchdown. Main chute deployment altitude is adjustable from 100 feet to 9,999 feet in 1 foot increments with the computer interface or 100 foot increments without. Nine user-defined presets make changing the settings in the field quick and easy.

The StratoLogger CF collects flight data (altitude, temperature, and battery voltage) at a rate of 20 samples per second throughout the flight and stores them for later download to a computer. It retains data from the most recent 31 flights (up to 9 minutes per flight) even with power removed. The optional DT3U data transfer kit includes software for graphing and printing a wide range of characteristics including altitude, velocity, and more.

As its name implies, the StratoLogger is capable of recording flights of up to 100,000 foot altitude (well into the stratosphere) with industry-leading precision and accuracy.
